which serves the county emergency management
directors and professional staff members:

bulletWe will freely communicate with other members, develop camaraderie, and share our experience, our knowledge, and our unified support to help us grow as an association and provide enhanced guidance and assistance to each member.
bulletWe will be proactive in our efforts and we will control our destiny as an organization and as a profession.
bulletWe will present a unified voice to the Ohio Emergency Management Agency, and we will use our collective influence to eliminate unnecessary mandates and excessive paperwork so that we may apply our professional skills to the unique problems and circumstances in our respective counties.
bulletWe will adopt uniform standards in communication methods, communications procedures, and computer software to achieve seamless communication standards that enable easy, convenient sharing of information among the membership.
bulletWe will aggressively pursue funding for federal and state mandates that have historically been promulgated without adequate, accompanying funding.
bulletWe will work with each county and emergency management agency to assist the members to obtain the greatest degree of job security possible.
bulletWe will form alliances with other organizations and associations so that we can speak with an even larger, collective voice on issues critical to us and to them.
bulletWe will speak with a unified voice and develop public relations campaigns to gain political influence at the local, county, state, and federal levels of government.

Adopted 1994 by and for our members to advance our profession
