The Golden Staff Award is intended to recognize staff members of Ohio emergency
management agencies other than the Director/Coordinator.
To be eligible for nomination, a staff member shall be on the staffing pattern of the
respective EMA office and either be an associate member of the Ohio Emergency Management
Association or be a subordinate of a Directo/Coordinator who is a member in good standing
with the Ohio Emergency Management Association.
The Golden Staff prize is intended to reward EMA staff personnel who improve public
safety and emergency management through projects, programs, exemplary service and/or who
distinguishes him/herself in the field of emergency management or through the promotion of
emergency management.
While the afformentioned attributes may be found in any number of individuals who
currently work within the emergency management system, the Award is intended for those who
excel in a capacity that exceeds the norm as recognized by peers.
The Golde Staff should not be considered to be an annual award, but may not be
presented more than once per calendar year. Nominations for the EMAX may be submitted by
anyone in the public or private sectors. Nominations should be completed no later than
June 15 of each year.
